The Chronicle — Gavin Newsom’s press folks were all atwitter when a Newsweek reporter came to town to write a profile puff piece on the man-child mayor.
But his spin doctors have been strangely quiet since the article Hoping that Left is Right hit the newsstands.
The Newsweek story prominently featured the fact that in a two-year period, he divorced his wife, Kimberly Guilfoyle, admitted to an affair, admitted to being an alcoholic.
There was no mention of the article on the mayor’s Facebook page, the mayor’s office home page, nor the Web site touting his run for governor.
Why the nothing-to-see-here attitude?
This is standard operating procedure for Gavin’s PR machine: avoid reality, spin truth and obfuscate facts.
